Our reason for being

We strive for a fruity gastronomy, that creates links and takes care of the living.

A company-wide purpose

This reason for being positions Les vergers Boiron in its sector of activity, that of gastronomy, and projects the company’s ambition. While fruit is at the heart of our business, it is essential for us to support those who work hard every day to preserve our common heritage.

Les vergers Boiron

“This mission, like a compass, guides our every action. Together, let’s continue to write this beautiful story and spread our values.”

Les vergers Boiron,
a company with a mission

In 2024, we decided to enshrine our raison d’être in our articles of association and became a Mission Society. Admittedly, this is only the beginning of the road, but what could be more exciting than to feel like a contributor to a meaningful activity?

Les vergers Boiron

“Becoming a company with a mission means committing to the company’s development in full awareness of the issues that bind us to the world of agriculture and the living world in the broadest sense. These are not just words: anchoring this responsibility in our bylaws commits us, and it’s all the players in our ecosystem that we need to mobilize around our mission to co-construct sincere and ambitious roadmaps and thus translate intentions into action. ”

Christine Sarzier, Director Sustainable Commitment and Industries

What does it mean to become a Mission Company?

The mission is made up of a reason for being and statutory objectives addressing our social and environmental challenges. We have defined 4 of these as essential levers for achieving our raison d’être:

  • Co-constructing sustainable fruit chains that care for people and nature
  • Act for the climate and the environment throughout our value chain
  • Develop and support an offer that combines sensoriality, naturalness and responsibility
  • Mobilize and inspire an ecosystem that enables everyone to fulfill their potential and grow in confidence.

To achieve our mission, each of these pillars has been translated into operational objectives and is measured with tracking indicators.

The mission committee is dedicated to monitoring the completion of the mission. It is made up of internal and external stakeholders (suppliers, researchers, industrialists, customers, partners, etc.) who meet 2 or 3 times a year and draw up an annual mission report. On a day-to-day basis, this committee is a real driving force behind our commitment. It never hesitates to challenge us on the direction and coherence of our objectives, always with a great deal of benevolence and relevance.

An Independent Third-Party Body (ITB) verifies compliance with social and environmental objectives 18 months after the company changes its articles of association (1st inspection) and every 24 months thereafter. The opinion is published on the company’s website. In the event of non-compliance with the above provisions, or if the ITO’s opinion concludes that the objectives have not been met, the company’s status as a société à mission may be revoked.
