365 Days as a B Corp™ :
Progress matters. So does the work ahead.

A year ago, Les Vergers Boiron obtained the B Corp certification. A year of commitment, transformation, challenges, sometimes questioning… But above all, a year of meetings, sharing and links forged with those who accompany us every day, and who give all its strength to this approach.

For the past year, we are proud to have joined a community of companies that act together to transform the economy and participate in collective actions in favor of a common goal: a global economy at the service of humans and living beings.

Why B Corp™?

As a company rooted in the fruit industry, we are deeply connected to nature and the ecosystems that sustain it. In the face of climate challenges impacting our environment, we carry a responsibility: to act in ways that help preserve both nature and the people who cultivate it.

This conviction naturally led us to the B Corp™ movement:

  • Because it goes beyond statements of intent
  • Because its standards challenge us to strive for excellence
  • Because it gives concrete meaning and value to our purpose

« Being a B Corp™ is, for us, recognition of the work we have accomplished, but above all, it is a responsibility: the responsibility to move forward every day with greater rigor, collaboration, and purpose.  None of this is easy. But all of it is necessary. Being a B Corp™ is not a label you display. It is a responsibility you choose to uphold every day, with humility ».

Tangible Proof of Our Progress

We are proud to share some of the progress achieved during this first year. These advances reflect meaningful steps forward while also highlighting the work that remains to achieve the ambitions we have set for ourselves.

From Orchard to Plate: A Collective Commitment

Behind every one of these achievements stands an entire value chain. Producers who work in harmony with nature, the seasons, and climate conditions, adapting their practices every day. Teams who question, test, refine, and evolve the way we work. Partners and chefs who challenge us and are willing to rethink their own methods.

This ecosystem supports us and keeps us awake. It brings coherence to our approach and reminds us that every step forward is the result of collective effort built over time.

B Inspired: A Signature Creation by Anne Coruble

To mark its first year as a B Corp™ Certified company, Les vergers Boiron gave Anne Coruble, B Fruit Collective Chef, complete creative freedom to develop an original dessert centered around the fig. A fruit that is delicate, demanding, and inspiring, the fig reflects the values embodied by the B Corp™ movement: respect for living systems, collective commitment, and a constant drive for improvement.

Her creation, “Fig, Red Prickly Pear, and Walnut,” takes the form of a sharing dessert designed to bring people together. It celebrates conviviality, generosity, and indulgence—values that are dear both to the Chef and to the brand.

Les vergers Boiron

At the heart of this dessert, naturality serves as the guiding principle. The ambition is simple: allow the fruit to express itself fully, revealing its natural sweetness, aromatic complexity, textures, and colors without unnecessary additives or artificial enhancements. Each ingredient was selected for its authenticity, seasonality, origin, and the richness of its intrinsic qualities.

The Fig: An Exceptional Fruit at the Heart of the Creation

The recipe is built around a fig frozen puree with no added sugar and no detectable pesticide residues, produced primarily from a rare fruit grown in very limited quantities: the Solliès fig.

Located near Toulon in southern France, this historic growing region benefits from a Mediterranean climate particularly well suited to fig cultivation. Irrigation supplied by the Provence Canal, combined with the expertise of local producers, produces fruit renowned for its exceptional flavor.

The figs used in this fruit puree come from a family-owned farm that has partnered with Les vergers Boiron for more than 25 years. Grown with respect for their environment, the fruit is carefully crushed and sieved to preserve the characteristic grainy texture and slight crunch of fresh figs.

In keeping with a resource-conscious approach, Anne Coruble also chose to incorporate imperfect fresh figs that would normally be excluded from conventional distribution channels due to their appearance. This choice serves as a reminder that a fruit’s quality should be judged not by its looks, but by its flavor.

The recipe is complemented by a red prickly pear frozen puree with no added sugar, bringing freshness, vegetal notes, and a naturally vibrant fuchsia color. Paired with walnuts—another emblematic product of the Drôme region—it contributes to the balance and distinctive character of this creation.

Naturality as a central theme

« Naturality is, above all, the most faithful expression of a product. It means choosing food in its purest form, cultivated with respect and preserving the full integrity of its flavor and nutritional qualities. Naturality tells the story of a terroir, a climate, a craft, and the people who dedicate their time and energy to bringing that product to life. Defending naturalness means valuing authenticity, simplicity, and transparency, while honoring the profound connection between the land, those who cultivate it, and those who are nourished by it. »

Building What Comes Next

This first year of B Corp™ certification has allowed Les vergers Boiron to establish strong foundations, experiment, learn, implement new practices, and, at times, challenge and rethink them.

The journey ahead remains long. The challenges facing both our industry and our profession are significant. We move forward with a clear-eyed understanding of this complexity, but also with the conviction that every action matters and that meaningful progress is achieved collectively.

It is this momentum—demanding, ambitious, and firmly focused on the future—that we are committed to sustaining. Because every step forward, no matter how small, helps shape the world of tomorrow.

Let’s cultivate Fruit Excellence!
